About Puppy Adept, Inc.

Tracey Schowalter is the Canine Training Consultant at Puppy Adept, Inc. She is a member of the APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers), of a newly formed association called the GAPDT (Georgia Alliance of Positive Dog Trainers), is a certified Canine Good Citizen evaluator, and is currently studying for her CPDT (Certified Pet Dog Trainer). She graduated from the Intern Academy of reknowned author, editor and former President of the APDT, Pat Miller. (Click here for a link to her books), and attends many lectures and workshops including the Annual APDT conferences. See www.APDT.com to learn more about this organization. When you attend a Puppy Adept, Inc. training class, rest assured you are receiving training based on current dog training methods and learning and behavior theory. Classes are taught using reward-based methods, specifically clicker training.

A long history of loving animals in general has led Tracey to volunteer with various organizations such as Zoo Atlanta and the Gwinnett County Animal Shelter. She is driven by a desire to see the relationships of dogs and their guardians flourish. She shares her home with two dogs and a husband.
